On the last day of December, we drove to the heart of the Elgin Valley, to Southhill Estate, a wonderful wine farm overlooking the rolling hills and valleys.
Under a shady tree, Charline Mingot, a beautiful girl all the way from France, and her beloved made their vows. Several chic friends from France joined the local South Africans in drinking the health of the happy couple in the most delicious French Champagne. They were all enchanted by the French cafe, music played by the clever strolling musicians of the Hungarian Trio! Under Paris Skies, She by Charles Aznavour, C’est ci Bon, La Vie a Rose and so on-in addition we did all our gypsy music as per the wishes of the lovely bride. A simple, beautiful, most memorable wedding.
